Makanslation time!  Let’s dive into today’s delicious dish!  For this week's Khairul Aming-inspired menu, I'm excited to introduce one of Malaysia's beloved foods: Roti Puri Cicah Sardin , or, in English, Puri with Sardine Dip. The crispy fried puri (Indian flatbread) is served with a tasty sardine dip, prepared from canned sardines in tomato sauce blended with sautéed onions, chilli, and occasionally potatoes. Although puri originated in India, this Malay innovation with sardine dip is now a local favourite, enjoyed especially at tea time or for breakfast. It is savoury, crunchy, and absolutely satisfying, a fusion meal that can effortlessly merge two countries in one bite!   Hello everyone! For this week’s Khairul Aming Menu , I’m bringing you one of Malaysia’s all-time favourite desserts,   Kek Batik Ganache , or in English, Batik Cake with Ganache . This no-bake treat is made with crushed Marie biscuits mixed into a rich, chocolatey blend of cocoa powder, butter, and condensed milk. I absolutely love Batik Cake. It’s my all-time favourite! Its beautiful batik-like pattern and creamy texture make it perfect for any occasion, especially when served cold. I once made this kek batik and all of my friends love it. I'm very happy that baking this simple dessert could bring them so much joy. I wish I could make thousands of them in the future!  So, without further ado, let’s get started! Hey everyone!  For this week’s second recipe from Khairul Aming, we’re making Kuetiau Goreng Kerang , also known as Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Cockles . Why flat noodles, you ask? Because they’re made from rice and have a deliciously soft, chewy texture! This dish is a popular choice across Malaysia, and it is loved by everyone, regardless of background.  I have a soft spot for kuetiau with cockles; it brings back sweet memories of my dad and me braving the rain just for a plate. Worth it, every single time!
